Anca is a founding member of PACT Foundation. She began her career in community development when she attended the first training program of community facilitators in Romania. In over 15 years spent in this field, Anca has contributed to designing and implementing community development programs in rural areas, such as those initiated by the Global Bank – Economy Based on Knowledge, Romanian Social Development Fund, Rural Development Project or founding Romanian organizations who believe in the approach from bottom to top.

Anca believes in people’s power to change communities. She initiated and coordinated various training programs for people who work in or for the rural areas, and led participatory processes for elaborating local development strategies for rural localities, small towns and micro regions.

At the moment, Anca has chosen to become an active player in an important domain for the Romanian society development – education – and she is leading the New Horizons Foundation’s executive operations.
